Volvo Cars is seeking experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians (Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technicians). The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is directly responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of production manufacturing equipment.
Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician / Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician job responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and repairs of complex equipment breakdowns involving mechanical and electrical aspects of machinery.
- Inspects and assesses the functionality of production machines.
- Analyze failures or equipment technical loss causes.
- Perform preventive and corrected maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications (experience and education)
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years directly related work experience in the following areas:
- Hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- The ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.
- Knowledge of and experience with industrial electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, email), including knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e., SAP or Maximo).
- Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs.
- In lieu of work experience, military experience in a technical field OR an associate degree in a technical field will be considered.
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D or equivalent (Required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Automotive industry
- Experience changing out bearing and motors.
- PLC and Siemens system education and/or experience
- Robotics (ABB, DURR) experience.
- Automated manufacturing
- Pumping system maintenance experience
- Conveyor system maintenance experience
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e., SAP or Maximo).
