Position Summary
The Internal Communications Specialist II is responsible for collaborating with marketing, human resources, executives, and other internal staff to execute the internal communications strategy for our organization by creating and delivering compelling content that engages employees and strengthens the Company’s culture and reputation. This position will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure all internal communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the Company’s culture, goals, and values. The incumbent in this position must be self-motivated with a proven ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions and Duties
- Develop and execute the internal communications strategy for the Company, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics.
- Research, write, and deliver internal communication content, including emails, newsletters, website instructions, Company descriptions, intranet content, videos, presentations, Company website content, and other internal projects as needed.
- Maintain the Company’s trademarks and descriptions.
- Maintain the Company’s media releases.
- Attend committee meetings as needed.
- Conduct and analyze internal polls, internal events, and customer satisfaction surveys.
- Work with key Company stakeholders to ensure all internal communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the Company’s culture, goals, and values.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant.
- Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive Company culture and reputation.
- Promote internal events and other initiatives to encourage employee engagement and strengthen the Company culture and reputation.
- Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the Company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
- Adhere to the Company’s style guide, ensuring that we produce consistent, high-quality, and error-free copy.
- Participate in Marketing department meetings.
- Continuously strive to improve processes, service quality to internal and external customers, and employee relations.
- Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws.
- Display dedication to position responsibilities and achieve assigned goals and objectives.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance at all times.
- Understand and internalize the Company’s purpose; display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values.
