Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.- Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions and production layouts required to fabricate the product.
- Identify process improvements, capture feedback from Operations and incorporate changes into the manufacturing process.
- Respond to design and specification changes by capturing details into the manufacturing process.
- Respond to technical production issues associated with the product being fabricated.
- Work with maintenance staff to troubleshoot and repair production specific equipment.
- Generate specifications for procurement of new equipment.
- Assist in establishing safety requirements for facilities and equipment.
- Work in a multifunctional team to solve production related issues.
- Work with Quality Engineering to quickly and efficiently resolve MRB items.
- Establish Key Characteristics for manufacturing/processing and ensure systems are in place to monitor and control them.
- Analyze processes and equipment for process capabilities and downtime.
- Analyze yield and scrap rate data to aid in improving processes.
- Determine root cause and corrective actions for discrepancies.
- Generate and maintain Statistical Process Control programs for production products.
- Work as part of an Integrated Product Team to support both internal and external customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 Years of experience in manufacturing with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. 9 years of manufacturing experience with be considered in lieu of a degree.
- US citizenship is required
- This is a part time position with less than 20 hours of work expected per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of composites fabrication processing and compression molding using prepreg materials.
- Experience generating written work instructions for production operations.
- Experience programming, operating and troubleshooting multi axis robotic systems.
