We’re on a mission to transform an industry that’s been stuck in the past by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology, real-time support, and a team that truly cares.

We’re hiring a Supply Chain Logistics Manager for our Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The primary goal of the Supply Chain Logistics Manager is to ensure the efficient and cost-effective flow of material through the supply chain. This role will heavily focus on strategic oversight and optimization of all brokered truckload shipments, ensuring they adhere to all service level and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day functions will include a mix of team leadership, strategic data analysis, high-level carrier relationship management, and the planning and coordination of heavily focused OEM to branch moves as well as branch to branch transfers of assets with a strong emphasis on implementing new technologies and best practices to significantly enhance productivity and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing brokered truckload shipments for inbound and outbound freight, ensuring efficient routing, carrier selection, and cost control.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key freight brokers and carriers, negotiating contracts and service level agreements to secure competitive rates and reliable service for truckload moves.
  • Oversee and analyze data to identify opportunities for shipment consolidation and optimization of truckload utilization across the network to significantly reduce transportation costs.
  • Monitor and report on overall inbound and outbound truckload freight performance, ensuring successful delivery within customer service requirements and proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to truckload efficiency, cost, and service, providing comprehensive reports and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including warehousing, procurement, sales, and customer service, to optimize integrated logistics operations and align transportation strategies with broader business goals.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends in the truckload freight industry to inform strategic carrier selection, rate negotiations, and long-term planning.
  • Develop and implement robust processes for addressing and resolving complex issues related to brokered truckload shipments, including systemic delays, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Continuously analyze overall distribution activities and propose significant process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Proactively research, evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies (e.g., advanced TMS features, freight visibility platforms, automation tools, predictive analytics) and operational best practices to drive significant increases in productivity and efficiency within brokered truckload operations.
  • Manage budgets and identify cost-saving initiatives related to brokered freight.
  • Other duties as assigned.
