As a Banquet Captain, you will play a vital role in executing high-quality catering events, ensuring seamless service, and leading a team dedicated to excellence. Your leadership will help elevate our catering services, create memorable experiences, and strengthen Vivie’s reputation in the community.
As a Banquet Captain, you will:
- Lead Event Execution – Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of internal and external catering events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
- Train & Supervise Catering Staff – Assign roles, conduct pre-shift huddles, and ensure catering staff provides professional and efficient service.
- Maintain Quality & Customer Satisfaction – Respond to guest inquiries and concerns, ensuring prompt, courteous, and personalized service at all events.
- Manage Catering Logistics – Maintain catering van cleanliness and stock, organize storage areas, and ensure service ware is available for upcoming events.
- Other Duties as Assigned – Assist with restaurant and bistro service as needed, ensuring a seamless guest experience during non-event times. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
This job also requires:
- Experience in banquet, catering, or food service leadership required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments and manage event logistics.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays based on event schedules.
- Ability to pass a state mandated background check.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication to guests, staff, and visitors.
