Your next role as a Miracle Maker 

Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Finance team as an Associate Director, FP&A. In this role you will play a critical leadership role within Maravai’s Finance organization, responsible for driving financial performance, strategic insights, and decision support across the enterprise. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Sales Operations, to provide and deliver world-class financial planning, strategic forecasting, and business partnership that directly contributes to Maravai's growth trajectory and value creation.

As an Associate Director, FP&A you will act as a key partner to business unit leaders, Commercial, Operations, and R&D teams, bringing analytical rigor, strategic acumen, and operational efficiency to financial processes and decision-making.

How you will make an impact: 

  • Lead Enterprise Financial Planning Processes: Drive the annual operating plan, mid-year forecasts, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic financial plans. Coordinate cross-functional inputs ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Business Partnership & Commercial Support: Serve as the strategic finance partner for Business Unit GMs, Sales, Marketing, and Operations, delivering actionable insights to improve financial and operational performance.
  • Strategic Analysis & Modeling: Develop advanced financial models to assess revenue growth opportunities, margin improvement initiatives, and capital deployment strategies. Support M&A evaluation, due diligence, and integration modeling.
  • Financial Reporting & Analytics: Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting on financial performance including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow with variance analysis and key performance metrics. Elevate executive reporting standards to be Board-ready.
  • Forecast Accuracy & Process Optimization: Establish best-in-class forecasting processes, driving forecast accuracy, timeliness, and predictability. Continuously improve financial processes through automation and data integrity initiatives.
  • Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing financial analysts and managers. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Performs other functions and duties as required.

 The skills and experience that you will bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A or Strategic Finance roles within public companies or highly matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in financial planning, business partnership, and strategic decision support.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and data analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of influencing senior leadership.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems, and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
