The Inova Health – Community Health Division is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Pediatric Nurse  to provide support and care to an underserved population with true need.  This position specifically supports the Inova Cares for Children programs.  This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, enriching ambulatory medical setting.  The position is primarily located in Falls Church, VA. This position is fulltime Monday - Friday role.

Bilingual English-Spanish candidates are preferred.

The Registered Nurse Outpatient provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor. 

 

Additional Requirements:

Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience. Greater than one year of RN experience is preferred. 

Other Skills: Bilingual English-Spanish candidates are preferred. 

Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required

Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN

Work schedule: Monday - Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and, Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
