Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Willingness and ability to work changing hours if necessary
  • Fluency in proper sterile technique

  • Working knowledge of tissue culture.
  • Working knowledge of basic chemistry and biology.

  • Knowledge of quality control and instrument usage.

  • Ability to keep accurate and organized records.

  • Ability to perform experimental calculations and analysis.

  • Ability to perform laboratory tasks in timely manner in a high workload environment.

  • Ability to oversee and train the junior undergraduate lab assistants and provide guidance and instruction as needed

  • Ability to work with potentially biohazardous material (human blood and serum).

  • Ability to work with limited and properly handled/stored hazardous chemicals

  • Working experience in immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of data analysis software, e.g. Excel, PRISM
  • Experience working with large sets of data

  • Experience working with patient biopsy samples

  • Experience with animal and IRB protocols
