Team:
The Technology Development Team is responsible for developing advanced manufacturing technologies to the Terran R tech stack, further the enhancing the industrial base. Our solutions range from novel welding processes, advanced robotics, and advanced simulation and prediction capabilities. We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to manage our growing portfolio programs at the intersection of hardware and software.
What you’ll do:
- Wear Many Hats: We are a small, agile team pushing the boundary of what’s possible in manufacturing. If you had a technical skill, guaranteed you will leverage it.
- Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Ensure all projects are aligned with program requirements. Participate in the solicitation, scope and proposal process.
- manage Stakeholders: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of project progress and risks.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment that catalyzes high performance and innovation.
- Manage Risk: Identify potential risks and issues related programs and contracts, and work proactively to mitigate them.
- Allocate Resources: Manage and optimize project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budgets to meet project objectives and contractual obligations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to meet and exceed contract requirements or industry standards.
- Communicate: Draft presentations, white papers, proposals to communicate program capabilities, status, and risks to executives and customers alike
- Improve Continuously: Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and optimization in government contract project management.
What you need to know:
- Bachelors degree in relevant STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics)
- 5 years experience in managing technical projects with internal and/or external facing customers leading fast-paced, collaborative teams including managing project dashboards, scoping, structuring, creating, and reviewing deliverables
- Deep knowledge of government contracting mechanisms, processes, regulations, compliance, and security requirements
- Demonstrated excellence in setting and achieving goals in complex ecosystem with competing resources and priorities
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA)
- An aptitude for problem-solving with excellent written, presentation, communication skills
Nice to haves but not required:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in relevant STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics)
- Proficiency in statistical analyses and programming languages (R, Python, C++)
- 3 year's experience development welding or additive manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis, Material Science, Non-Destructive Evaluation
- Engineering experience in an Aerospace, Energy, or Maritime industry
