Database Analysis - Advisor II

What does a successful Database Analysis - Advisor II do at Fiserv?

As a Database Analysis - Advisor II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and security of our database systems. Your expertise will help drive the design, analysis, and maintenance of databases to meet critical business requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database issues, implement best practices, and ensure data integrity. Using StreamSets ControlHub you will extract, transform and load data into the Snowflake environment.

This role provides an opportunity to leverage your skills to significantly impact our database operations and overall business success.

What you will do:

• Design and implement Snowflake database systems to meet complex business requirements
• Develop, monitor and maintain Snowflake DAG database performance, and integrity
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve database issues and optimize performance
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation within JIRA and as needed for CI/CD processes for our various database environments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the database team

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in database analysis
• 3+ years of experience in SQL or database management systems
• 3+ years of experience in data modeling
• 3+ years of Snowflake
• 3+ years of experience in database performance tuning
• 1+ years of experience with Fiserv tools/applications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience.

What would be great to have:

• Experience with database management tools
• Understanding of database security best practices
• Experience with JIRA
• Understanding of CI/CD processes
