Worker Designation – This role is an onsite role. You will be required to work at the ASC location in Columbus, Ga during your set working schedule.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Monitors entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Warns persons of rule infractions or violations
  • Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
  • Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  •  Operates detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Answers telephone to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during nonbusiness hours or when switchboard is closed.
  • Refers any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences to supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 

Education & Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One to two years of job-related experience - Security, Law Enforcement, or Military
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license and a good driving record and the ability to maintain insurability with company insurance carrier.
  • Successful completion of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) Certified Protection Officer (CPO) correspondence course within 24 months of entering role.

 

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers
