Job Summary
Assists students, faculty, and staff with printing, scanning, and vinyl cutting in the Digital Print Lab. Assists in daily maintenance and calibrations of all Epson and HP printers, t-shirt printer, and vinyl cutter in the Digital Print Lab. Assists students and faculty in the mount area. Performs specialty printing for the School of Visual and Performing Arts, the Art Center, and the College. Assists with check-in/out of equipment and specialty photography sessions in the Photography Studio.
Key Outcomes
75% of Time: Digital Print Lab
- Assists with technical support and training to staff, faculty, and students in the digital print lab and dry-mounting area
- Monitors and performs scheduled calibration of printers and computer monitors
- Monitors printing paper supplies, ink, and mounting tissue inventories and notifies the Manager of Technologies when supplies are low
- Changes ink cartridges and maintenance tanks, and loads roll paper on all printers in the Digital Print Lab
- Assists with general maintenance, troubleshooting & cleaning of equipment in the Digital Print Lab and Mount Area
- Assists with specialty printing for student shows, the School of Visual and Performing Arts, the Art Center, and other College Departments and Schools on Campus
- Does data entry for student refunds in the Digital Print Lab
15% of Time: Photography Studio
- Assists with check-in and check-out of equipment in the Photography Studio
- Assists with specialty photography sessions for students, the School of Visual and Performing Arts, and the Art Center
10% of Time: Other Duties
- Performs other duties to meet the needs of the Visual and Communications Department, the School of Visual and Performing Arts, and the College

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- An undergraduate degree preferred in photography, graphic design, or equivalent experience
- Experience in a digital print lab and photography studio preferred
- Experience with Adobe CC suite of applications (Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) as well as Microsoft Office
- Experience working with both Epson and HP Printers on both PC and Mac platforms preferred
- Experience with printer profiling, ICC workflows, and color management preferred
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Ability to work five shifts Monday through Friday between 9 am and 3 pm when the College classes are in session
