Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to help grow CoCounsel, our state of the art AI assistant. In this role, you'll join a team of skilled engineers to plan and execute critical initiatives like our global expansion, disaster recovery strategy, and cross-cloud migration. Our ideal candidate is curious, sympathetic, and flexible.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Lead Software Engineer, you will:
- Drive CoCounsel's expansion into new regions by architecting scalable infrastructure solutions
- Design and execute our disaster recovery strategy to ensure platform reliability
- Guide our migration from GCP to AWS, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with a team of experienced, self-directed engineers
- Partner across teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Lead Software Engineer if you have the following required qualifications:
- Adept with AWS
- Experienced at communicating web service architectures and driving their evolution
- Experienced at developing user-facing web services, especially those leveraging type systems
- Familiar with SQL databases
- Low ego and collaborative
- Understand that tech is a means to an end
Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiar with LLMs
- Familiar with GCP
