Mid- Sr.- Cyber Analytics Data Scientist

The work:
For this position, you will first need to understand the client's IT infrastructure and the types of security incidents that they have been experiencing. They will then need to collect and analyze data from Splunk and Swimlane to identify patterns that could indicate anomalies. Once they have identified these patterns, they will need to develop algorithms to detect and alert on these anomalies. The data scientist will also need to work with the client to develop a plan for deploying and maintaining the new anomaly detection capability. This will include training the client's security team on how to use the capability and ensuring that the capability is integrated with the client's existing security infrastructure. Additionally, you apply statistical and machine learning techniques to build models that address cybersecurity challenges., Analyze large, complex data sets to derive actionable insights and enhance threat detection. Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts to understand their challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions. Keep abreast of the latest developments in data science and cybersecurity to drive innovation. Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders’ effective knowledge transfer. Participate in client engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results within project timelines.
Here's what you need:
- 3 + years of experience in data science with a focus on cybersecurity analytics
- 1 year of experience in data science with a focus on cybersecurity analytics
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other data science programming languages
- Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, or Scikit-learn
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat landscapes, and attack vectors
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, SIEM platforms, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or similar.
- Prior experience in a consulting environment or client-facing role.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Data Scientist.
- Master’s or Ph.D

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington State as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role:
California: $105,200 - $234,900
Colorado: $105,200 - $202,900
New York: $97,300 – $234,900
Washington State: $112,100 – $215,900
