Type: Full-Time
Reports to: Senior Manager of Recovery Services
Office Location: 1801 W. Warner, Suite 202, Chicago IL; required in-office minimum of 3 days per week (hybrid work policy subject to change). Office location moving to 224 W. Hill St, Chicago, IL in Fall 2024

NAMI Chicago seeks to fill gaps in Chicago's mental health system, with an intentional emphasis on racial equity and breaking down barriers to care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operation of the Engagement and Support Pilot Program, primarily focused on Peers working in nursing homes
- Provide direct supervision to members of the Engagement and Support Pilot Program
- Establish and improve upon best practices for Peer recruitment and retention
- Maintain official records to ensure compliance with grant requirements
- Assist in the creation and oversight of the program budget
- Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies
- Facilitate Peer support groups on behalf of NAMI Chicago
- Lead Peer-led trainings on behalf of NAMI Chicago
- Provide training and education to others joining the organization as well as ongoing development around peer and recovery services
- Provide leadership on recovery services and perspectives throughout the agency
- Participates in the marketing and development of recovery supports throughout the Chicagoland area (Approximately 5% travel within the Chicagoland area)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Demonstrated commitment to serving underrepresented and vulnerable populations, including social and racial/ethnic minorities as well as those living with mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders
· Willing to work in a diverse environment in regard to race, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, and gender
· Candidate will have firsthand knowledge/experience living with a mental health condition
· Demonstrated sensitivity and compassion
· Demonstrated interpersonal and public relations skills
· Understanding of local mental health resources
· Able to travel across greater Chicago
· Well organized
· Basic computer skills
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field OR Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) OR will obtain one of these credentials within 18 months of employment at NAMI Chicago
· At least 2 years of Social Work or Mental Health related work experience
· 1 year of Supervisory experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
Welcomed Qualifications:
· Bilingual in English and Spanish
· Experience with the CCMTP
