About the Role:
Client is seeking a Media Production Technician to support the daily technical and media production needs of parole, pardon, commutation, and revocation hearings. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the accessibility and quality of high-profile public hearings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the production of all parole, pardon, commutation, and revocation hearings
- Conduct daily equipment checks to ensure functionality before hearings begin
- Schedule, set up, and maintain video meetings using Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Serve as technical liaison between the BOPP and multiple state agencies to guarantee seamless hearing accessibility
- Post hearing links and content on the BOPP website and YouTube channel
- Operate as a cameraperson, technical director, and/or production crew member as needed
- Edit, catalog, and archive video recordings and digital materials
- Write scripts and create or coordinate the development of needed graphic, photographic, and video content
- Perform installation, minor repairs, and maintenance of AV equipment and software
- Maintain inventory records of AV hardware and software
- Provide basic training or support to staff on use of AV tools and systems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Solid knowledge of video, digital, and audio recording equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and video editing software
- Familiarity with posting digital content to platforms like YouTube and public websites
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Skill in AV equipment operation, setup, and minor repair
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and think on your feet during live recordings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Competency in utilizing computer software for media production and content management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with live streaming, digital archiving, and public content distribution
- Familiarity with state agency operations or working in a legal or correctional environment
