Sr Manager GBS Working Capital Optimization (f/m/d)

Lean Daily Management & Visualization

This role will lead end-to-end transformation initiatives across Global Business Services finance operations, with a primary focus on STP (accounts payable) and PTC (cash application and collections).  This role is accountable for (1) operating in a LEAN daily management environment, (2) driving cash forecasting and predictions about cash behavior, including effective visualization, and (3) executing high-impact projects that improve working capital, DPO/DSO metrics, and cash flow predictability (and measuring the results thereof).
This leader will act as a hands-on transformation engine — translating strategy into daily execution, enabling frontline teams, and partnering closely with Finance, Treasury, Global Technology, and Business stakeholders to deliver measurable results.  This role will report to the VP, GBS, and have no direct reports.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Participate in LEAN daily management activities across all regions for AP, Cash Application, and Collections, including attending daily meetings, standard work expectations and problem-solving routines
• Design and utilize the visual management tools used by the GBS teams and by Treasury to manage cash operations
• Ensure GBS teams at all levels understand the relationship between performance dashboards that connect daily execution to financial outcomes (DPO, DSO etc)
• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

Working Capital Optimization

• Own a portfolio of transformation initiatives to optimize cash flow, DPO, DSO, and collections (including for related activity not managed within GBS, in partnership with the business)
• Identify structural opportunities to improve working capital through process redesign, governance (approvals) and policy changes, system configuration, and automation
• Quantify benefits and track realized value vs. targets

Forecasting & Performance Management

• Build and enhance cash forecasting and collections forecasting capabilities (accuracy as well as cash behavior insights)
• Improve forecast accuracy through data discipline, driver-based models, operational insights, and potentially AI
• Design and utilize the visual management tools used by the GBS teams and by Treasury to predict operating cash

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA recommended
• 8+ years of accounting experience
• Prior supervisory experience
• Proficient in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior experience in managing multiple projects at one time and strong data analytics
• Familiarity with financial planning, forecasting and analysis processes

• Familiarity with various cash forecasting and collections methodologies.
• Visualization and communication skills (to a wide range of audiences both technical and non-technical) is required
• Experience with Power BI and large ERP systems (e.g. JDE, SAP, etc) a plus
