Job summary

We are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, to work as Hi Intensity Therapists who are trained in and qualified as either; CBT, EMDR or IPT Therapists. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established Talking Therapies Service on the Isle of Wight and will contribute to a stepped care model of service delivery for people with anxiety and depression.

This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a real difference to the lives of local people, by offering fast access to evidence based interventions supported by NICE guidelines. The Talking Therapies Service has a reputation for innovation and excellence and is committed to improving access to psychological therapies.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in busy talking therapies and been qualified as a Hi Intensity Therapist with that service.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The post holder will deliver evidence-based therapy in primary care, to clients who have a range of mild to moderate, and severe common mental health problems.

The post holder will deliver the evidence based interventions via differing modalities such as a group setting, face to face, and e-clinics.

The post holder will participate in caseload management on a monthly basis.

The post holder will participate in clinical supervision on a weekly basis.

The post holder will adhere to an activity contract agreed with the service manager at appraisal.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining continued professional development for professional accreditation and keeping a log of all related CPD.

The post holder will be seen as a skilled practitioner who will be a resource for the team and a source of clinical excellence and advice.

Qualifications

Essential

Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Post Graduate Diploma course in CBT

OR

Qualified in IPT and reflects the IPT competency framework

OR

Qualification in EMDR and reflects the EMDR competency framework

Desirable

Qualification in more than 1 therapy, eg CBT and EMDR or Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
