Financial Controller

Description

Balanced Body is an energetic, environmentally conscious leader in the global Pilates industry. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including financial reporting and staff management. This is a key leadership role reporting to the Director of Accounting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Manage the month and year end close process
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of all subsidiary and ad-hoc reporting
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, advanced degree a plus;
• 7+ years of relevant experience; manufacturing/cost accounting required;
• CPA or CMA preferred;
• Experience with all aspects of general accounting functions including A/R, A/P, payroll, inventory, month end closing and preparing financial statements;
• Proficient computer and spreadsheet skills, particularly Microsoft Office products;
• Experienced user of ERP or inventory/cost accounting software;
• Experience with supervision of accounting staff;
• Strong critical thinking skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong organizational skills and time management;
• A positive attitude and everyday commitment to constant change and growth.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
