About the Role
Lennox is transforming the HVAC industry by delivering leading customer experiences for homeowners, dealers, and distributors. We are seeking a Product Manager, Packaged Equipment to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our packaged heating and cooling equipment families, serving multiple business units across the corporation.
This is a pivotal role for a strategic, customer-obsessed leader who thrives in complex, cross-functional environments and can operate from 0 to 1. You will drive the product roadmap and own the results of your category. You will primarily engage with customers, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing, and Supply Planning while also partnering to help support Product Marketing, Marketing, Demand Planning, and Sales to drive results and deliver shareholder value.
What You’ll Do
Lead with Vision
- Own and evolve the multi-year roadmap for packaged heating and cooling equipment across multiple business units which include Lennox Residential HVAC, Allied Air Enterprises, and Lennox Commercial.
- Translate voice of customer input, reliability insights, quality, and warranty data into go-forward product strategies.
- Lead the conversation on regulatory requirements, sustainability, and compliance while being the go-to resource for your category.
Be the Voice of the Customer
- Build deep empathy for distributors, dealers, and homeowners through regular VOC (voice of customer) and partnering with Product Marketing and Sales.
- Use quantitative and qualitative insights to shape product hypotheses, prioritize features, and iterate quickly.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution
- Partner closely with engineering to translate market and customer dynamics to actionable development programs and maintain strong alignment throughout cross functional teams.
- Build deep relationships in multiple business units to understand their specific go to market strategies and channels to market.
Deliver Business Outcomes
- Define and monitor key success metrics, including adoption, market share growth, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop business cases for new features or platforms, aligned with each business units’ growth goals and sustainability roadmap.
Qualifications
What You Bring
- You should have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years product management experience
- Be capable of developing strong business cases aligned to the voice of the customer, business and engineering capabilities, and long-term strategic platform vision
- You are resourceful in driving teams from ideation to production and are comfortable operating at both a strategic and tactical level
- Have the ability to lead your category with courage, challenging the status quo, and provide data-driven insights and market intel to drive executive leaders’ decision making
- You understand dealer and consumer segmentation
- Can develop value propositions and go-to-market strategies
- Be able to ensure accountability with managers by using your power to influence
What Will Give You an Edge
- Experience working through a Stage Gate development process and experience with SAP
- You are a solid communicator who does well presenting to executives and others within your sphere of influence
- Be passionate about product lines
- You have demonstrated the ability to work cross functionally, achieving results based on influence rather than reporting relationships
Other Work Requirements
- This is an on-site role based in West Columbia, SC, with occasional travel.
