YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for an experienced international general ledger accounting and financial reporting expert for our European finance department based in our Warsaw office.

We seek an energetic individual who has clearly shown excellence in their past, ideally in a consulting, professional services, or similar environment. Someone with strong team skills and a good sense of humour will have an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly motivated international team. You will join our office in the centre of Warsaw supporting Altman Solon’s European offices. Your main responsibilities: 

• Ensure accurate general ledger accounts and reconciliations, particularly revenue recognition, intercompany accounting, fixed assets and partnership capital accounts
• Manage timely monthly and annual closing, working closely with other accounting teams
• Support US GAAP and local GAAP financial statement and consolidation preparation for several group companies
• Contribute to SAP process and policy improvements 

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Several years' experience in general ledger accounting or audit, preferably in an international environment 
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and procedures (including US GAAP/IFRS), particularly revenue recognition, financial closing and statements 
• Degree and/or qualification (e.g. ACCA) in finance or accounting 
• Sound ERP finance (e.g. SAP Business ByDesign) and excel skills 
• Highly organized, detail orientated and motivated
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Fluent English
