  • Take ownership of quarterly dispatch projects, from design to implementation.

  • Own the execution of your projects, including sprint-level planning, delegating tasks to peers, and collaborating with external stakeholders and dependencies.

  • Create and maintain design documents, and conduct design reviews for your proposals.

  • Test and validate your code via unit, integration, end-to-end, and occasionally road tests with self-driving vehicles!

  • Monitor the health and performance of your services / features  collecting relevant metrics and setting up appropriate alerts (tools are already available)

  • Review code change requests of peers, and produce well-tested, descriptive code change requests for your code

What you must have:

  • You are humble, collaborative, and believe self-driving technology will save the world

  • You have 3+ years of production-level experience building backend services

  • You have built scalable backend APIs using Node.js, Go, or similar languages

  • You have worked with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and caching services (e.g. Redis)
