About the role

The Director, Deal Desk & Sales Operations has a pivotal role at WorkWave, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Revenue Operations. This individual will be instrumental in supporting our Enterprise Sales team, streamlining the contracting process, and ensuring seamless deal execution. This role plays a key part in deal formation and execution, enhancing sales efficiency and effectiveness. Acting as the organizational hub during deal management, the Director ensures involvement and buy-in from internal stakeholders, professionalizes the organization, and maximizes revenues. They ensure quarter-end success related to revenue recognition, compliance, and sales goals, serving a critical role in the smooth selling and contracting process. Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: 1. Build Out Global Deal Desk - Deal Review and Approval• Oversee the review and approval process for all deals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies.• Act as a critical gatekeeper to maintain the integrity of deal data and documentation.2. Transform Contracting Processes• Lead the redesign and optimization of the contracting process to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.• Develop and implement standardized templates and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance across all contracts.3. Support Enterprise Sales Team• Partner closely with the Enterprise Sales team to provide strategic support and guidance on complex deals.• Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales reps, providing expert advice on deal structuring, pricing, and contract terms.4. Redefine Sales Rep Expectations• Establish clear guidelines and expectations for Sales reps regarding deal submission and approval processes.• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure Sales reps are well-versed in Deal Desk procedures and best practices.5. System and Process Integration• Gain a thorough understanding of current systems, tools, and requirements for processing deals.6. Cross-Functional Collaboration• Maintain collaborative relationships and provide support to Sales, Finance, Legal and Business Operations functions.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales support, order management, product strategies, or similar functions, with a minimum of 3-5 years in sales operations within a SaaS environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, and other CRM systems; experience with CPQ, Docusign, NetSuite, SugarCRM, Pardot, and Clari Revenue Management is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, contract management, and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a history of successful working relationships with field sales.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels within the organization.
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities, with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
