Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role will be based in San Francisco,  Mountain View CA or New York, NY.

We are looking for a Strategic Finance Sr. Associate to join the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) team in leading our top- and bottom-line impact through objective analysis, operational insights, and strategic initiatives. In this role, you will focus on a number of business-wide initiatives including GTM acceleration opportunities, operating model redesign, and long-term strategic planning to support growth of our ads business. You can expect to work closely with other Strategic Finance teams and cross-functional partners (e.g., Sales, GTM Ops, Marketing, BizDev, and Product) to craft strategies, translate data into actionable business recommendations, chart courses of action, and hold teams accountable to drive sustainable growth. 

Strategic Thinking 

  • Learns to identify new opportunities for growth within a limited scope and supports strategy development with business partners.  
  • Validates and executes pressure testing of growth opportunities.  
  • Operationalizes ideas and develops plans for execution with some support from more senior team members.  
  • Builds collaborative relationships with other teams and seeks input and feedback to develop an understanding of their priorities and constraints. 

Stakeholder Influence 

  • Communicates implications of work (e.g., forecasts, analyses, trends) to senior cross-functional stakeholders to drive action. 
  • Leverages insights and data to develop narratives to influence stakeholders with limited guidance.  

Execution & Organization 

  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to support the growth of initiatives by providing a metrics-oriented perspective, with minimal supervision.  
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures to develop workstreams and operational processes.  
  • Proactively identifies obstacles and works to unblock them with minimal support. 

Performance Management 

  • Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform data sources and analyze to assess signals, trends, and risks. 
  • Executes ad hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address ambiguous or complex business questions, deriving actionable insights from results.  
  • Leverages advanced knowledge to develop hypotheses using identified signals, trends, and risks.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 3 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ year of experience in the technology industry
  • Ability to seek information independently and solve conceptual problems with directional guidance 
  • Concise and effective communications: You’re able to articulately present and debate recommendations with cross-functional teams and senior leadership 
  • Strong data analysis skills (experience in SQL a plus)
