Connect with NRG on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X.Job Summary:As the Senior Director – Consumer Talent Business Partners, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Consumer Business Partner group. You will lead a team of Business Partners, develop and implement Talent & Culture strategies, policies, and programs, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will collaborate with senior leadership to align Talent & Culture initiatives with organizational goals and objectives. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills are essential for success in this role.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:- Specifies tactical goals and objectives and policies; oversees the execution of a strategy for the NRG Consumer business partner function
- Helps leaders define the function's short- and long-term strategic needs
- Play a significant role in creating and carrying out strategic business plans
- Demonstrate well-developed leadership abilities to create a positive rapport with others
- Establishes strong bonds with managers, executives, and staff to deliver seamless business partner support
- Establishes broad, function-wide objectives under the general direction of executive management, guided by approved operating plans. Assists executives in defining organizational goals and short- and long-term strategic plans
- Serves as an advocate and business partner by providing coaching and guidance to management and employees regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Facilitates and improves the recruiting process by helping with job descriptions, compensation analysis, approvals, and onboarding
- Performs audits of employee data to ensure data integrity
- Coordinates and supports leave management with the assistance of Benefits and Share Services
- Acts as liaison for the business and learning development and training resources
- Provides positive customer service by responding to employees and managers on Talent & Culture related questions
- Promotes employee and manager self-service with available systems and procedures
- Identifies opportunities, takes initiative to continuously improve the effectiveness of current HR/business processes and practices
- Provide strategic and tactical human resources generalist support to management and employees
- Coach Managers and employees to improve performance. Actively manage performance issues to resolution
- Develop workforce plans for recruiting and retention with client managers and implement plans.
- Analyze progress in achieving plan and make on-going adjustments
- Coordinate changes and administration of benefit policies and interpret complex employee benefit policies
- Analyze data to ensure compliance with laws/regulations and assess progress against company goals and initiatives
- Oversee and coordinate daily activities and projects of NRG Consumer business partner team.
- Coach and develop NRG Consumer business partner team by assessing strengths and developmental needs, provide staff with challenging assignments and opportunities for development.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in Human Resources, including prior management experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments (or a single business critical function or department)
- Experience leading and directing the work of other employees
- Experience with exposure in the areas of strategic recruiting and staffing, AA/EEO/Diversity, employee relations, compensation, training and development, benefits, labor relations, in a fast-growing, dynamic organization
