Position Overview:
Assembly of Armor systems utilizing various machines, hand tools and materials and performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
- Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning documents and engineering drawings.
- Be able to understand equipment requirements and the method and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber epoxy resin rubber and like material.
- Lay out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates.
- Cutting and trimming of armor parts per close tolerances using hand tools such as hand router, hand drill, hand sander and inspection equipment.
- Structural bonding, insert installation, panel edging, carbon fiber rings and fastening of composite assemblies, including surface preparation.

- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
- Aerospace experience preferred
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient and/or become proficient in the use of Outlook Internet software; ERP/SFM Manufacturing software and Time and Attendance Payroll systems
Education, Certifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
