As a Security Guard - Healthcare Site - Afternoon Shift in Hauppauge, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare environment, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all staff, visitors, and patients. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide reassurance throughout the location. You will interact with diverse individuals, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding promptly to any situations that arise. Job Schedule:
DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhat You’ll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to Allied Universal procedures.
- Support a welcoming and professional atmosphere for staff, visitors, and patients while performing patrol duties.
- Document and communicate observations and/or incidents clearly and promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
