The Opportunity: PLA Associate Principals are instrumental in supporting PLA’s vision, which includes creating an environment of high standards for our staff and scholars.   As an Associate Principal, you will work closely with the principal to manage all our campus functions, including education programs, office operations, scholar enrollment, personnel, and facilities.

As an Associate Principal, you will provide strategic leadership, supporting the success and retention of our scholars and staff. You will assist the principal in planning, coordinating, and directing activities and programs related to the administration of our school. The Associate Principal acts for the Principal in his/her absence as required and/or assigned. PLA leaders strongly believe in every scholar’s ability to succeed, and they work tirelessly to create a school experience that fosters success.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Current Administrators License
  • Proven success as an instructional leader - 3+ years of leadership experience 
  • Experience in high school credit management, credit recovery programs, and graduation planning to support students' assessments and on-time completion. 
  • Experience in turnaround work 
  • Entrepreneurial, positive problem solver with the ability to see opportunity in challenges
  • Clear judgment, a mature interpersonal style, and the ability to drive collaborative decision-making processes.
