About the Role:
US Conec is seeking a Technical Trainer with a strong background in fiber optics to lead training initiatives for our global customers. As part of the Applications Engineering team, you will deliver hands-on and virtual training programs focused on fiber optic connector assembly, product use, and industry best practices. This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills to educate and empower customers while supporting the adoption and success of our products.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead in-person and virtual training sessions on fiber optic connector assembly and product usage
- Develop new training materials and technical content for evolving product lines
- Continuously improve training programs to include more advanced technical content and formats
- Maintain and prepare the training lab, tools, and materials needed for training sessions
- Manage logistics and setup for both onsite and remote customer trainings
- Provide post-training support to ensure customers are successfully implementing learned processes
- Deliver product and process technical support to customers as needed
- Travel to customer sites to deliver customized, hands-on training in manufacturing or field environments
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to stay current on new technologies, tools, and applications
- Support experimentation, evaluation, and troubleshooting activities in a lab environment when needed
Tools & Equipment You’ll Use:
- Optical fiber termination tools and measurement equipment
- Contact measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
- Optical test systems, microscopes, and vision measurement systems
- MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Data analysis software (e.g., JMP, Minitab, MATLAB)
- Corporate workflow, collaboration, and ERP systems
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in fiber optics, optical components, or connectivity industry (training, applications, or support roles preferred)
- Experience delivering technical training or leading customer education programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain complex technical content in an understandable, engaging way
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
- Comfortable in hands-on lab environments and using precision measurement tools
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 25–40%)
