POSITION SUMMARY:

The Corporate Accountant position is responsible for general ledger coding, journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting for the Development Company. Additional responsibilities include pulling financial reports, populating reconciliations and trends, and analysis as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Prepare and record journal entries, and GL Account Reconciliations
  2. Reclasses entries if coding is improper
  3. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in resolving variances
  4. Pull financial statements from the accounting system for Reports Meeting, including Budget Comparisons, Income Statements, Balance Sheet, and Statements of cash flow
  5. Prepare sales and use tax worksheet monthly
  6. Prepare and review development, intercompany, and legal payables for accuracy
  7. Processes wires and internal transfers
  8. Updates the development checkbook
  9. Provides excellent customer service by responding to all inquiries from customers (internal & external) in a prompt and professional manner
  10. Timely and regular attendance.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Two- or four-year Accounting degree
  2. Good verbal and written communication in English
  3. Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  4. Accounting software experience preferred
  5. Strong problem solving skills are required

PAY: $60,000 - $65,000/year
