About the role
<h1><span><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></span></h1>The Gas Power Configuration Management & Product Definition (CMPD) organization is responsible for managing Feature Options, Logical Features (MLIs), PLM Products, Bills of Material (BOM) and change control for all Gas Power products. The CM organization provides execution and oversight throughout the entire lifecycle of development for Power Generation equipment including New Product Introduction (NPI), Inquiry to Order (ITO), Order to Remittance (OTR) and Service phases.<br/><br/>The Plant Change Manager will lead the Management of Change Process for Balance of Plant Engineering throughout the project lifecycle. This role involves facilitating Design Change Request (DCR) execution, managing the Technical Change Forum (TCF) and collaborating across multiple disciplines to ensure the efficient progression of DCRs in conjunction with DCR KPI’s. Additionally, the role contributes to long-term change management transformation within PALM PLM and provides leadership in the Engineering Management of Change process.<br/><br/>This role will also look across change processes and work closely with the Principal Engineer – Change to look at processes that cut across all Plant and Projects. The role will also require the individual to work closely with other Change Control Board members and Change coordinators and will be an integral part of defining and executing the Change Process roadmap.<p></p><h1><span><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p><b>Essential Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Role model the GE Vernova Way: drive innovation, serve our customers, lean is how we work, win as one team, and drive accountability.</li><li>Own the performance evaluations of the CM team in Hungary, as well as salary planning/adjustments and promotions. Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback and coaching. Ensure employees receive the training, support and guidance needed to continuously increase their responsibilities, technical contributions and growth. This will rely on feedback from the workstream leads to gain efficiencies and working level <span>knowledge. </span></li><li>In partnership with the CM workstreams, establish the long-term strategy, yearly priorities, and monthly/weekly/daily management routines and business intelligence dashboards for CM to deliver on end customer and internal business objectives for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost, in that order.</li><li>Align the CM global demand-capacity strategy with inputs from CMPD leadership to help workstream leaders prioritize and deploy resources across the organization effectively and drive productivity to deliver on headcount targets and overall financial performance; that includes labor, local & global contractor, shop/work/labor & general operating costs.</li><li>Represent CM engineering team in a variety of GPE, CMPD and meetings to align strategy with the teams’ working objectives.</li><li>Drive consistent strategy across CM, standard work process rigor, and best practice sharing across workstreams to operate as ONE engineering team</li><li>Lead the tie into the CMPD operating rhythm and lead overall CM communication plans.</li><li>Together with the CM Functional Leader, coordinate the CM Monthly Operating Review and coach the team through KPI & action plan development as well as problem solving.</li><li><span>Drive Quality and Lean efforts by managing the roadmap and coaching the team on lean development plans. Drive cost reduction efforts through data analysis and documented labor productivity. </span></li><li><span>Drive budget rigor across CM by establishing workstream alignment of budget against programs and holding teams accountable to work to funded programs. Work closely with CMPD operations leader to ensure team is adequately funded for work or prioritization is understood.</span></li><li>Willingness to <span>research/learn/observe</span> internal (and sometimes external) high-level practices in Lean and Quality in order to provide guidance and leadership to CM Staff and individual contributors; in addition to maintaining alignment with Gas Power/Vernova Lean/Quality</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications / Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 years of relevant industry/domain experience</li><li>Demonstrates the GE Vernova Way: Innovation, Customers, Lean, One Team, Accountable</li><li>Strong experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI; Must be willing to learn Tableau to maintain/enhance CMPD’s daily management dashboards.</li><li>Curious learner (willing to navigate globally, be resourceful); challenge the status quo (ask why, act as a fresh set of eyes), and trusted partner of the General Manager (comfortable providing feedback, suggesting operational/process <span>efficiencies/improvements)</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desired Characteris
