Role Summary

We are looking for a Principal Data Platform Tech Lead who will be part of a Data transformation at one of the fastest-growing financial institutions in the country. You will be part of the Data organization, driving innovation, end-to-end data platform capabilities, and technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions and overall data engineering use cases on an Enterprise Data Platform
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to define platform standards and engineering best practices
• Evaluate new technology features and drive capabilities onboarding to meet technology requirements.
• Onboard and harden new technologies and patterns
• Translate the project scope into integrated technical solutions and engineering designs aligned with the underlying data strategy
• Support Engineering teams in reviewing data solutions and solving problems.
• Lead development sessions and review the implementations by project teams.
• Communicate effectively and with an appropriate level of detail to all levels of the organization

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant education
• 10+ years of combined experience in Data Warehouse, Data Lake Architecture and cloud Development
• Experience with Azure Cloud Solutions and technologies
• ETL/ELT Pipelines, automated unit test cases, CI/CD, and engineering best practices
• Strong knowledge of access controls, role-based access, and governance
• Experience in non-relational databases: Document DB, API, and Embedded experience
• Proficiency with the following technologies: MS Azure, Databricks, Pyspark, Python, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, etc.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and concepts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technical
• All other duties as assigned.
• This position currently offers an onsite hybrid work schedule, with the expectation that you are in the office three days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant education
• 10+ years of combined experience in Cloud Platform Architecture and Data Solutions Implementation

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
