Occupational Therapist (Per Diem) - Adult Day Health

About the role

This is a per diem/on call position.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients with physical disabilities in accordance with all applicable and commonly accepted professional standards of practice. Designs treatment plans, which focus on maximizing independence with personal care and activities of daily living. Documents care, coordinates with the physician, other facility staff, and family members regarding the scope of the treatment plan, instructs in precautions, follows through on the need for additional service or referral.

Providence Adult Day Health Napa Valley provides the only adult day program in the valley dedicated to supporting older adults and adults with dementia, brain injuries, developmental and physical disabilities, mental health conditions, or other challenges-whether or not they have a formal diagnosis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Upon hire: California Occupational Therapist License 
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Training in Treatment of Adult Hemiplegia and Hand Therapy.
  • 1 year experience in an acute/rehab setting.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
