This hybrid role gives you the opportunity to be part of both the client service and patient care sides of veterinary medicine. What Our Veterinary Receptionists/Assistants Do
Client Care & Reception
- Greet clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
- Answer phones and respond to client questions efficiently
- Schedule appointments and help maintain an organized daily workflow
- Check patients in and out while ensuring accurate client and patient information
- Process invoices and collect payments
- Communicate hospital policies, services, and basic care information clearly
- Maintain accurate client and patient records
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Handle client questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Coordinate with veterinarians and the medical team to support efficient patient flow
Veterinary Assistant & Patient Care
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Safely handle and restrain patients using compassionate techniques
- Prepare exam and treatment areas for patients and procedures
- Assist with basic patient care and monitoring
- Help collect and prepare laboratory samples as trained
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient care areas and equipment
- Stock treatment and exam areas with necessary supplies
- Help maintain accurate patient records
- Learn and develop additional veterinary assistant skills through hands-on training
- Jump in wherever needed to help keep the hospital running smoothly
