Program Summary: Behavioral Health Program at an outpatient clinic overseeing clinical services and staff.
General Position Description: Provides supervision and oversight of programs and staff within the Blake Behavioral Health program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees provision of clinical services, ensuring they comply with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Monitors the quality of work and adherence to program and personnel policies and provides feedback to staff through audits, reviews, and staff meetings.
- Provides assessment, clinical evaluation, and treatment plans as needed for children and families with complex mental health needs and coordinates services for individuals and families, including crisis intervention.
- Coordinates service provision and collaboration with community partners.
- Develops, monitors, and signs member service plans, assessments, and risk assessments.
- Provides individual, family, and/or group counseling based on needs determined by the Clinical Director and EBF policies.
- Oversees the coordination with the treatment team, facilitates Child and Family Team and Adult Recovery Team meetings to review progress/barriers and determine the appropriateness of services and medical necessity of services.
- Attends and participates in all professional meetings and clinical staffings and maintains confidentiality of client and staff information.
- Provides comprehensive intakes, assessments, annual assessments, and offers therapeutic and support services as needed.
- Coordinates communication between the member and other providers or community agencies to ensure coordination of care as needed. This includes assisting with scheduling appointments, attending telemed appointments, arranging transportation, conducting CFTs and ARTS, and coordinating with the hospital for d/c appointments.
- Provide a broad range of administrative and supervisory functions. Supervises assigned staff in accordance with EBF personnel practices including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and day to day scheduling. Participates in the process of ongoing professional development. Maintains comprehensive communication among all contacts within the agency, members, and external agencies. Models professional standards and ethics in accordance with EBF Code of Conduct, Strategic Plan, Mission, and Vision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate license in social work, counseling, marriage and family, or substance abuse recognized by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Regulatory
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Current, unrestricted AZ driver’s license with no more than two (2) minor moving violations or one (1) accident within the past three (3 years). Three (3) years of driving experience required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an AZ DPS Level 1 fingerprint clearance card (employer provides).
- CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
- Satisfactorily Completed Competency Checklist within 6 months of hire.
Skills/Job Knowledge/Abilities:
Must have a strong clinical knowledge of development across the life span, and knowledge of best practices when working with diverse populations with trauma backgrounds.
