Summary:

Directs the Inpatient and Outpatient Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation services and Medical Fitness programming for the Memorial Healthcare System and manages resources to ensure alignment with the mission, vision, and objectives of the department and that of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Ensures that all cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services are operating according to CMS and TJC regulations, as well as ACSM and AACVPR guidelines.Develops and implements departmental goals, strategies, and standards consistent with the administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the Memorial Healthcare System.Prepares, oversees, and evaluates departmental budgets, assesses department resource needs and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.Directs overall operations, policies / procedures, quality, safety, growth and development of Inpatient and Outpatient Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation services and Medical Fitness Programming at two locations: Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West.Oversees and facilitates staffing concerns and needs, which include: hiring, orienting, evaluating, regular department / individual communication, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.Directs, evaluates and reassesses departmental operations and strategies, which include: best practice evidence-based patient care, patient care quality and safety practices, clinical information technologies, physician outreach and interdepartmental networking and marketing, referral and enrollment into department programs and services, department billing and audit processes / procedures and community outreach efforts.

Education and Certification Requirements:

Bachelors (Required)Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) - American Assc of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab (AACVPR), Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) - American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM)

Additional Job Information:

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role.
