The Job:  

As an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist, you’ll be part of our T&O Global Supply Chain team working as an on-site employee.    You’ll get to:  

• Create and follow up the Internal Audit program.
• Act as the Site’s Document Control Coordinator.
• Act as the Site’s Corrective Actions Coordinator.
• Work with the Staff to create and maintain the training matrix.
• Administer training programs created by the department owners based on operations needs.
• Coach Department owners in creating certification programs for key positions.
• Schedule trainings and create a culture of mindfulness of safety practices.
• Track, maintain and archive all training documentation and databases to keep a real-time status.
• Provide support on EHS related activities as needed.
• Drive and promote safety culture and employee engagement throughout the business.
• Drive the 5S program throughout the facility. Define schedules and generate monthly reports.
• Other duties assigned to meet the business needs.

The Person:

• High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree in any Manufacturing related certification a plus.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing with an emphasis in training, health and safety systems or equivalent experience in a technical environment requiring adherence to training on strong health and safety practices.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• OSHA 10-hour course completion (prefer OSHA 30-hour course completion).
• Experience as a trainer/teacher of manufacturing, EHS subjects.
• Knowledgeable in performing audits.
• Minimum OSHA courses completed (Recordkeeping; Hazard Identification; Risk Assessment).
• Computer software animation or AI knowledgeable.
• TCEQ, & EPA knowledgeable (preferred).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Ability to communicate verbally and/or in written form effectively.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5S concept a plus.
