Opportunity Overview:

 

We are currently searching for a Security Operations Center Operator at our Westinghouse headquarters office in Cranberry Township, PA.  This position is charged with maintaining the integrity of property and personnel by monitoring access control, security systems and processes, and travel risk management programs as determined by Global Security Management.  Under administrative supervision, the right candidate must have the ability to perform routine assigned tasks from detailed instructions and established policies and procedures.

 

What your day-to-day looks like:

 

• Interpretation and awareness of security policies, procedures, post-orders, principles and chain of command;
• Monitor and assess alarms from multiple locations, and the ability to follow established protocols for appropriate notification and escalations;
• Accept command of alarm monitoring stations from remote locations, and the ability to follow established protocols for appropriate notification and escalations;
• Incident report creation, review and distribution;
• Travel security program monitoring and establishing a relationship with international travelers to high risk locations to ensure their safety and accountability while traveling.;
• Communicating effectively and respectfully with these travelers to create a trustworthy relationship prior to and during their travel;
• Employee/contractor credentialing and system profile development and maintenance.

What we’d like to see from you:  

     

Education:

 

• High school diploma (Associates degree preferred)

Experience/Requirements:

 

• 2-3 years’ experience with backend security systems, cyber/physical security incident response or operations center, emergency management dispatch or related field;
• Valid state drivers’ licenses;
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and regulatory required background investigations to include criminal, traffic, fingerprint records check, work references, education history, and drug screen;
• Ability to understand and support credentialing, unescorted access program and internal visitor management systems and programs;
• Ability to work with security systems and databases, perform all necessary and related functions and support database audits;
• Attention to detail;
• Can work independently or with others and have the ability to make logical, educated decisions based on the situation;
• Ability to read and interpret written directions;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn security softw
