Director, Public Funding

ROLE PROFILE SOURCE 

Global is looking for a highly capable, self-directed Director, Public Funding to join our Global Business Development team and support key business development opportunities across North America. Our team is committed to solving water challenges with our one-of-a kind renewable SOURCE technology that uses the power of the sun to extract clean drinking water from the air. This role is critical to both our mission as well as a driver of the growth of our company. It will be based in our Scottsdale, AZ Headquarters and will report to the VP of Business Development for North America.

This role will: 

1. Be the primary lead for discovering federal and state funding programs relevant to SOURCE technology. 

2. Shape new funding programs as they emerge and overseeing funding applications into those programs leveraging the SOURCE Grant Writer. 

3. Build and maintain relationships with various funding institutions as well as elected officials in key regions in concert with geographic community BD Representatives. 

4. Serve as relationship lead and ambassador for SOURCE Global, able to think creatively and make an emotional and financial connection to funding prospects, non-profit partners and end-user customers of innovative SOURCE technology in the community segment.

This role will include but not be limited to: 

• Developing expertise in all public (state & Federal) funding programs within key US regions that support SOURCE technology applications; 
• Building strategic relationships with key funding institutions; 
• Overseeing the development of applications, proposals, and bids to support and close sales efforts with North American Business Development team.

REQUIREMENTS 

• 10+ years of experience and success in public policy, communications and/or business development roles; 
• Experience leading the crafting & enactment of new public policy; 
• Experience developing complex grant applications and proposals; 
• Prior experience in drinking water industry a plus; 
• Start-up experience in a technology-enabled company a plus.
