About the role

This candidate has great business acumen and judgment, analytical abilities, written and verbal communication skills, and most importantly, a proven record of managing ocean programs with exceptional performance metrics for on time and accurate deliveries. They will have a bias toward data driven decision making, be comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple projects, be able to think big and creatively (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

About the team
The Kuiper team is looking for a Senior Logistics Program Manager (Ocean) to support Kuiper global logistic ocean planning and operations, ensuring transportation activities are designed for our customers needs. In this role you will be interacting with both internal and external stakeholders in delivering hardware and commodities against time-bound objectives.

Key job responsibilities
- Intake ocean and/or inter-modal projects to drive readiness initiatives and detailed execution
- Drive supplier engagement, service enablement and support operational plans
- Lead implementation, process improvement, securely manage logistics processes
- Own capacity planning tools and processes as required for Ocean operations.
- Develop operational metrics to meet business requirements
- Determine key analytics and measures of success and provide data which assesses KPI/SLA adherence to contractual requirements
- Maintain operational visibility to all shipments in transit, escalate to carriers as needed, perform track/trace/claims management for any anomolies
- Review ocean transportation lanes to ensure strategies align with the expected workflow and recommend new transportation lanes as needed
- Provide supplier metrics, measure corrective actions, provide data for business reviews, maintain a metrics dashboard and ensure accurate milestone reporting
- Exhibit a constant passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Influence supplier investments in continuous improvement to continually lower costs and risks
- Seek opportunities for network optimization through consolidation of freight, streamlining of processes, or creation of mechanisms
- Represent Kuiper Supply Chain on cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to travel domestic/international up to 15% of the time
- Ability to work an alternative schedule or perform work during non-standard hours as business needs require

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in industry and/or academia.
- 3+ years of experience specializing in ocean transportation, supply chain operations or logistics
- 2+ years of experience managing third-party ocean logistics providers
