PURPOSE OF POSITION: Our Level IV Fleet Maintenance Mechanics plays a critical role in the success of our maintenance shop. You will lead as a highly skilled technical mechanic responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and delivering meticulous workmanship. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support and serve as a resource for lower-level technicians. Deer Valley Resort is known for providing the highest standard in the industry as we focus on attention to detail, genuine care, and exceptional service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advanced Diagnostic & Technical Expertise
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Monitor proper usage, maintenance, and storage of all fleet equipment (shop tools, vehicles, etc.)
Perform overhaul operations on all components of assigned equipment
Accurately troubleshoot all assigned vehicle/equipment systems
Perform on-equipment fabrication of covers, brackets, and frame members
Perform corrosion control and spot repair of body and frame components
Leadership Opportunities
Provide mentorship and hands-on training for Level I, II, and III technicians
Provide quality control for all Level III mechanics and below
Support a culture of continuous improvement by contributing to training programs and materials
Lead by example, fostering accountability, craftsmanship, and pride in work
Support department operations and decision-making in the absence of leadership
Quality, Precision, & Attention to Detail
Ensure all repairs meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and workmanship
Ensure work order accuracy and completion for assigned jobs
Maintain complete, accurate, and detailed work orders and service records
Monitor proper use, maintenance, and storage of all tools, vehicles, and shop equipment
