Job Summary:

Job Description Summary
This position will support Dr. Jeffery of the Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI). Providing support for social, economic or health related research for the Jeffery lab and projects. This position will support drafting and organizing manuscripts and managing their submission; assist in investigating, gathering, assessing, and clarifying data; record and distribute information for the assigned projects with regular guidance. This position will lead conceptual statistical analyses for assigned projects, supporting chart review for assigned projects for the term of the position/project.

Job DescriptionKEY RESPONSIBILITIES•     Collect and organize data from a variety of reference sources•     Prepare charts, graphs, and tables according to accepted research practices and preform preliminary analysis.•     Assist in investigating and gathering data•     Route questionnaires, record information and distribute results using established procedures•     Assist with recruiting, interviewing study participants and providing appropriate documentation for research.•     Update manual and/ or automated database file and maintain records•     Edit and/or type manuscripts according to accepted practices and assist in the preparation of materials for publication•     May supervise, plan and assign work for student assistants•     May assist in lab maintenance.•     Monitor and maintain inventory control and order supplies/equipment.•     The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES•     Analysis (Fundamental Awareness): Demonstrates the ability to grasp and apply basic analysis concepts within the context of job assignments. Can successfully research simple clinical questions pertaining to the functional area. Files and collates trial documentation and reports.  Archives study documentation and correspondence. Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving.•     Data Collection (Fundamental Awareness): Demonstrates the ability to gather and interpret basic information for use within the context of current assignments.
