DoorDash Drive is our hyper-growth platform team serving restaurants, grocers and retailers across the United States, Canada and Australia. The Fulfillment team is responsible for driving the strategy, profitability, and operations across each vertical. The business line you’ll be supporting is fast-growing, fast-paced, and is obsessed with quality.

About the Role

DoorDash Drive is looking for you to join our team as a Manager (Delivery Risk Prevention) for our fulfillment strategy and operations supporting new verticals. This role will focus on building verifiable chain of custody across the package journey and developing the right systems, signals, and workflows to detect, prevent, and recover losses in real time. You’ll own our delivery monitoring strategy to support drivers in real time and build our roadmap by partnering closely with cross-functional teams like Product, Quality, and Integrity. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Final Mile Performance. We expect this role to be based out of NYC with up to 10-15% travel.

• Scope Real-Time Risk Platform — Develop rules and use machine learning to improve our systems for real time detection and anomaly investigations workflow.
• Influence – Work cross-functionally with our Product, Engineering, Analytics, Integrity, and Quality teams to improve our quality, enable growth, and influence the direction of one of DoorDash’s biggest bets
• Implement – Drive the strategy, build, and rollout of new product capabilities and operational initiatives to improve fulfillment quality and reduce losses 

We’re excited about you because…

• You have 6+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in a competitive and fast moving environment in Product Operations, high-growth or early-stage start-up, or Investment Banking experience. Marketplace or Loss Prevention experience is preferred but not required.
• You are an exceptional problem solver who thrives on data-driven decision-making. You are proficient in Excel modeling and SQL or Python. Familiarity with event streaming & Machine Learning is preferred but not required.
• You bring structure to ambiguity. You’re excited to solve complex problems and enjoy navigating the unknown. 
• You are a pro at problem framing and can develop hypotheses from the data, then build tests to validate and drive the business forward. 
• You act with urgency. Speed excites you. You prefer an accomplishment today to an accomplishment tomorrow. 
• You can flex between high-level strategy and ground-level execution, and you don’t hesitate to get your hands dirty to deliver results.
• You are a builder. You enjoy building from the ground up and excel in creating structure and process.
• Bachelor’s Degree required. A Masters Degree is preferred, but not required.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
