Medical Assistant

Location: Santa Barbara Internal Medicine GroupPosition: Medical Assistant
We are a busy internal medicine private practice located in Santa Barbara, CA that is seeking a full-time medical assistant to work with our group of doctors from Monday-Friday.

Administrative & Clinical Responsibilities:

• Room patients
• Take patient vitals
• Take basic patient history
• Enter data into the EMR
• Prepare charts
• Injections
• Clean & stock exam rooms
• Sterilize medical instruments
• Assist Patients with Prescription Refills & Prior Authorizations
• Answer Phone Calls
• Electronic Filing
• Exceptional patient care
• Be willing to learn specific office procedures with training

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant Certification
• Ability to work in a busy environment for multiple doctors
• Ability to use a computer, printer, and fax machine
• Good organizational skills
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Professionalism when interacting with patients
