About the Role & Team

Amplitude’s GTM Strategy & Operations team is leading the strategy, planning and operational management across the GTM teams for Amplitude.  Sales Strategy & Operations is a critical business partner and growth enabler leading our sales strategy, planning and operations for Sales.  We are searching for an outstanding Director, Sales Strategy & Operations to support the growth of our AMERICAS Sales team to partner with our Americas regional leadership and managers to continue our journey of growth of productivity.

 In this role, you will: 

  • Collaborate with Sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in developing go-to market strategy, resource plan and key performance metrics
  • Provide strategic and operational support to Americas Leadership team
  • Scale and mature critical business processes to improve business performance
  • Drive and support planning process, including organizational design, headcount allocation, capacity planning, territory planning and target setting
  • Develop and execute initiatives designed to optimize sales team efficiency and productivity
  • Drive rhythm of business (forecasting, pipeline reviews, renewal readiness, monthly / quarterly business reviews) with strong operational rigor
  • Provide insights on key performance metrics and priorities (e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews), identify key roadblocks to progress, and work efficiently to remove them
  • Provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth and provide key insights for business leadership to support strategic decision-making
  • Drive local / regional critical projects and initiatives and drive alignment with cross-functional teams across the organization by developing detailed project plans with activity based milestones
  • Oversee implementation of enabling systems and tools, working closely with internal systems teams

  • Ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational)
  • Experience taking a structured approach to solving unique business problems
  • Stakeholder management experience - with strong communication and influencing skills
  • An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality. Works well under pressure, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in a fast paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment

At minimum, you should have:

  • 8+ years of experience in a  strategy and operations role supporting sales
  • Ability to partner with executives and manage multiple stakeholders cross functionally
  • Advanced skills in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel (e.g. should know commonly-used functions such as INDEX(MATCH), VLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables) and SWL
  • Knowledge/experience with Salesforce.com, Clari, Outreach is required
  • Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow through; can own and take tasks through to completion
  • BA or BS from an accredited university preferred
