- Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of annual budget and operation forecast; prepares regular and special reports; maintains necessary records and files.
- Plans, directs and coordinates the property’s count room functions to provide accountability and control of funds.
- Insures the security of count room operations.
- Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures, as well as state regulations relating to the Count rooms.
- Submits reports required by the state and Internal Audit.
- Supervises the operations including, but not limited to the following: processing of coin drop, signing out key weighing, counting, wrapping, preparation of hopper bag, accepting deliveries, ordering and picking up equipment and supplies.
- Trains, counsels and coaches assigned personnel in the performance of their duties; prepares and presents Performance Appraisal Reviews.
- Recommends and/or approves changes in the department, including hiring, promotion, demotion and termination of personnel.
- Recommends wage and salary adjustments within established guidelines.
- Maintains professional skills by staying abreast of current technical developments and participation in developmental programs available within and outside the company.
- Insures equipment in count rooms is in good operating condition at all times.
- Instructs assigned personnel as to safety policies and procedures.
- Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Qualifications:
Prior supervisory/management in a Casino environment preferred. Knowledge of SDS procedures preferred. Adding machine, computer terminal operation, currency counting machine skills helpful. Basic mechanical (repair) ability preferred. Must have great attention to detail and work well without direct supervision. Excellent organization, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to work all shifts. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma required. One to three years previous Count Room or money handling experience (casino or bank) required.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to maneuver in and around all Count Rooms. Must be able to respond calmly in difficult situations. Must be able to perform the job duties of Hard Count and Soft Count team members. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessary. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
