Comprehensive benefits package (health care, vacation, etc.)   FLSA: Exempt   Temporary/Continuing:  Continuing   Part-Time/Full-Time: Full-Time   Union Group: N/A   Term of Position: 12 Month   At Will/Just Cause: At Will   Summary of Position: To provide administrative support for the KCAD President's Office. Plan, organize, implement, and facilitate administrative functions central to the president’s work. Represent the president to key internal and external constituencies. Requires strong commitment to the mission, values, and vision of Ferris State University and Kendall College of Art and Design. Directly responsible to the President of KCAD/Vice President of FSU.   Position Type: Staff   Required Education: Bachelor’s degree.   Required Work Experience: Four years of upper administrative assistant work experience. Recent supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, considerable contact with the public where tact, diplomacy, and ability to work under pressure are required.   Required Licenses and Certifications:     Physical Demands:

• Provide responsible, independent administrative support including handling routine correspondence.
• Manage calendar and scheduling for the supervisor.
• Communicate effectively and promote a positive image of the college and University at all times.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to the mission, values and vision of the University.
• Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
• Maintain confidentiality on all matters related to the position.
• Collaborate, communicate, and build relationships with individuals at all levels within the workplace and externally.
• Obtain and provide factual information requiring a knowledge of the policies and procedures.
• Identify problems, generate ideas for improvement, and recommend or implement solutions.
• Use discretion to resolve matters independently, by involving President/VP, or by engaging others as appropriate .
• Make decisions quickly and adjust as needs arise in a high-pressure environment.
• Manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities to meet the needs of the office.
• Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism working with diverse groups of people.
• Plan, organize, and make independent decisions reflecting sound judgment from conception to completion.
• Independently answer inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources, providing explanation and interpretive information on the policies, practices and procedures.
• Process expense reports for the supervisor.
• Support University Advancement with donor communications and thank you’s.
• Work with University Advancement and KCAD President/VP of Ferris State University on sponsorship opportunities.
• Regularly audit and reconcile the financials of the assigned budget.
• Attend meetings as assigned.
• Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
• Support, promote, and develop University student enrollment and retention initiatives.
