Unit Nutrition Assistant
Performs activities related to foodservice for patients, (delivers correct tray to correct patient, responsible for all aspects of nourishment refrigerators and data entry into CBORD automated diet office system) to enable the department to provide services as required. Responsible for the patients accurate menu selections according to Diet Order.  Works as a liaison between the patient, dietitian and foodservice staff to provide optimal nutrition care and maximize patient satisfaction. Nutrition Services is focused on Service Excellence. Education – High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience – Previous food service experience working directly with customers and experience with modified diets preferred.  Clerical level typing ability preferred. (1-2 years experience) 

Licensure/Certification – N/A

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Demonstrates knowledge, ability and communication skills to maintain professionalism in dealing with public and medical center staff in a complex work environment requiring maximum concentration. Must be patient focused, service oriented with excellent communication skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions required. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and medical center personnel.
