Sr. Associate, Compliance Operations

ROLE SUMMARY

The Center for Digital Innovation (CDI) in Pfizer Thessaloniki is a vibrant organization that interacts with key members of the external ecosystem, including with healthcare professionals (HCPs), universities, and government officials. The Sr. Associate, Compliance Operations plays a critical role as the legal and compliance “gatekeeper,” responsible for ensuring the various activities happening are aligned with Pfizer legal, compliance and regulatory policies, procedures, and requirements.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the creation of contracts and Statements of Works with external partners and collecting feedback from legal, compliance and other stakeholders as required.

• Manage contracts and Statements of Work (SOW) lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution

• Ensure projects’ compliance with Pfizer’s internal policies and manage processes for getting relevant approvals (e.g., for My Anticorruption Policy and Procedures - MAPP, Customer Engagement Programs, Corporate Sponsorships etc.)

• Apply knowledge of and experience with Pfizer contracting, legal and compliance policies/procedures to identify opportunities to make contracting processes more efficient, leading coordination for implementation of streamlining initiatives

• Tailor contract and SOW templates and frameworks to accommodate the increasing number, type, and complexity of activities, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and other necessary stakeholders

• Train colleagues on contract management and SOW drafting and usage

• Proactively initiate contract and SOW reviews with Legal, Compliance, Procurement and other necessary stakeholders at the relevant process stages, partnering with these departments to remedy identified changes

• Track and escalate compliance matters to the Compliance Division

• Serve as primary point of contact and intermediary for compliance policies/procedures and systems related to contracting

• Support Compliance Lead on training of colleagues related to compliance policies and related procedures

• Responsible for communication with the relevant agencies, collaborating with Procurement to obtain information for bids, creation of Purchase Orders, following up on the approval process, in close collaboration with the Corporate Compliance Lead and CDI Finance Lead

• Coordinate and respond to audit requests related to the specific matters under the guidance of Finance / Compliance and/or Legal Lead

• Responsible for the creation of project charters

• Support CDI and Thessaloniki Leader initiatives to ensure Compliance & Legal adherence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree is required

• 3+ years of relevant experience

• Excellent knowledge of contracts handling and compliance matters

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties

• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once and collaborate with different departments including Procurement and Corporate Compliance

• Knowledge and experience navigating and applying complex internal policies and procedures to maintain compliance

• Familiarity with aligning contracts with organizational goals and compliance requirements

• Strong analytical skills to assess current processes and opportunities to increase efficiency

• Experience in handling contracts in a complex environment

• Understanding of organizational financials

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Excellent attention to detail

• Effective communication skills and proactive collaborator

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant experience in pharma industry will be considered an asset

• Knowledge of SAP systems will be considered an asset

• Familiarity with Pfizer processes and systems
