About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Operations Team. As part of this high-impact, platform team, you will play a key role in fostering engineering excellence by creating, implementing and maintaining scalable core processes to enhance development efficiency, reliability, and quality within the Camunda 8 code bases, as well as the Engineering organization processes.

You will collaborate with infrastructure and core software engineering teams to ensure smooth workflows, robust dependency management, and continuous improvement of CI processes; enabling the Camunda 8 engineering teams to focus better on the core product development.

What You’ll Be Doing:

•  Implement, automate and maintain core unified engineering processes in the Camunda 8 repos, including: release management and workflows, dependency management, CVE management, by significantly improving developer experience

• Continuously improve the CI/release health following a metric-driven approach

• Collaborate with the key stakeholders to implement the CI strategy and engineering best practices, by creating a positive impact within the Engineering organization.

• Identify friction in engineering operations workflows, and take it to next level by automating and orchestrating it, ensuring scalability - by effectively partnering with software engineers, engineering leaders and cross-team stakeholders

What You Bring:

• Ability and/or willingness to use our product

•  Strong Software Engineering experience with a track record of delivering results (preferably, in Java)

  • Specialization: Fullstack or Backend

• Passion for engineering operational excellence beyond writing code, including CI/CD optimization, dependency management, release process enhancements, metrics collection, and build efficiency (DevOps mindset), and track record of owning and developing engineering processes end-
